It is our pleasure to inform you that 2026 China Symposium on Sustainable Ironmaking and Steelmaking Technology (CSST2026) will be held in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China on November 3-5, 2026.
After rapid development for nearly 30 years, the world steel industry has entered a new period. Further increasing steel production is no longer the priority of the steel industries in major steel production countries. The R&D works has been shifted to focus on the technologies for sustainable development, i.e. technologies for ever enhancing production efficiency, making steels with ever higher properties, more friendly to environment, providing ever better services for customers, etc.
To promote the exchange of the metallurgical technologies in the steel industry in this new period, The Chinese Society for Metals (CSM) launched and organized an international symposium entitled “China Symposium on Sustainable Steelmaking Technology” in 2018, and the contents of ironmaking was added into the 2nd CSST in 2021, which received highly positive responses from the metallurgical industries and academies.
CSST 2026 will provide an excellent venue for the academia, researchers and engineers all around the world to exchange state-of-the-art development and information on the issues related to ironmaking and steelmaking. We kindly invite you to participate in this meaningful symposium and are looking forward to meeting you in Nanjing in the golden autumn in 2026 - the best season of the city.
